The Science Policy and Diplomacy Group at Johns Hopkins is hosting a Science Policy Hackathon on Saturday March 8th! Come develop innovative policy solutions related to:
Reducing medical waste
Ensuring safety and security with genetic data
You will work with a team of 3-4 other graduate students to build a policy proposal and then present to a panel of 3 judges at the end of the day. Winning policy proposals will be awarded monetary prizes. The groups will be formed the day of the event based on your interest in the topics and the specific problem you would like to address. This event is a great way to explore and get more exposure to science policy as well as meet other graduate students interested in the policy space.
Date: March 8th 10am – 6pm
Location: Pava Center (320 W 29th St #200, Baltimore, MD 21211)
